Common errors that may impact on your step test results are outlined below: 

Pacing yourself to reserve energy:
To get an accurate and true score of speed ability and lower body endurance, participants must give their maximum effort and perform the feet taps as fast as possible for the full duration of the test. 

Stopping early:
The FitQuest measures lower body endurance by measuring the steps made until the test says to stop. Stopping before the test says stop will negatively affect the lower body endurance score.   

Not registering feet taps:
The FitQuest recognises each individual footstep and whether it is with the right or left foot, however if the user moves onto one side of the platform it may not register all of the steps. In order to prevent this, make sure the user keeps their feet on either side of the centre of the platform and avoid moving around too much on the platform.
